Stéphane Gautier-Chevreux , bassoon
Born in Caen in 1969, he studied French bassoon with Professor Bertemont before getting in the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris,where he had Mr Maurice Allard and Mr Gilbert Audin for teachers. He obtained his diplomas in Chamber Music and Bassoon in 1990.
Talented musician, he was part of the Ensemble à Vents de Basse Normandie, before joining in 1993 the Luxembourg Philarmonic as the bassoon and solo contrabassoon.
He performs regularly with the musicians of this orchestra in chamber music projects.
His taste for musical diversity incited him to be part of Tickmayer Formatio, a seven-musician ensemble, including Stevan Kovacs-Tickmayer, composer and instrumentalist, with whom he performed in Amterdam, Anvers, Zurich and Paris in a dancing show conducted by Joseph Nadj.
