Gustatori Wind Quintet
Created in 2010, Gustatori Wind Quintet is a gathering of friends from three National Orchestras: Luxembourg Philharmonic, Orchestre National de Lorraine, and Lorraine National Opera. Together, they aspire to explore and broadcast the large and often misunderstood repertoire of woodwind quintet, and the numerous excellent transcriptions realized for this kind of formation. They are also working on extending this repertoire with new composers and arrangers.
The Quintet performed in the Centre Culturel André Malraux, National Stage of Vandœuvre-lès-Nancy, in Lorraine, France, in 2010, 2013 and 2014. During the festival Musique Action in 2015, they gave world première of Dominique Delahoche's Mandala sur le Sable (Editions Delatour).
The Gustatory Wind Quintet members, all teachers, are developing their local and international reach through master classes and learning sessions, acquainting the public with the wind French School and this repertoire.
The Gustatory Wind Quintet has been invited in 2012 by the Taïnan University of the Arts. Since, it has been an educational long term partnership with this institution.
His members gave master classes, performed chamber music concerts, recitals and went on tour with the orchestra, playing Mozart’s Wind Sinfonia Concertante K297b in Taïnan, Taïchung and Taïpei.
This year, they organise the First TNNUA Wind Festival, (2017, february the 10th to the 20st).
